CORSE
Known historically as the "Mountain in the Sea," the island of Corsica (Corsica in Corsican, Corse in French) occupies a singular cultural and geopolitical space in the Mediterranean. Marked by rugged granite massifs, dense maquis shrubland, and isolated inland communities, the territory reflects a profound tension between historical insularity, strong cultural identity, and contemporary French administration. This photographic series explores the rural landscape, coastal perimeters, and everyday signs of local identity across the Haute-Corse and Corse-du-Sud departments.
